Amazon expands partnership with Royal Mail, now ships to local Post Offices

Amazon is looking to make your holiday shopping experience even smoother as the giant retailer has just announced a major expansion of its partnership with the Royal Mail. Customers will now be able to have their parcels delivered to over 10,000 post offices across the UK.

Preempting the huge number of sales and shipments of goods for this holiday season, Amazon is looking to make its customers’ lives a bit easier. The company made this significant expansion in the number of PickUp Locations citing the continued increase in the number of people using it.

The increased convenience of having your parcel delivered to a post office or a different location is just one more weapon in Amazon’s arsenal used against regular retailers. However this doesn’t come exactly free for its customers.

If you want to take advantage of this feature you’ll need to be a Prime subscriber or pay a sometimes hefty premium for your delivery. Amazon made sure you’ll be taking a close look at the first option by also announcing free same-day delivery for all Prime customers, last week.

What do you think? Is Amazon enticing you to stay indoors and do all your holiday shopping online or do you still prefer the brick and mortar stores?
