Google formally announced Android 5.0 two months ago, but as of a fortnight ago, just 0.1% of devices had actually received the update. Manufacturers are gradually ramping up their Lollipop rollouts though, and the latest to do so is LG.
In fact, LG's flagship G3 was the first handset in the world to get the update last month, although the rollout was limited initially to Poland. But there's great news for G3 owners across Europe, as the Android 5.0 rollout is now spreading across the continent.
The folks over at My LG Phones have published a detailed list of markets in which the LG G3 is now beginning to receive the Lollipop update, including the UK, Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Portugal, and many others. Beyond the EU, Taiwan, Kazakhstan and Russia are among those markets now getting the update too.
The update will bring the software version up to D85520e, and will be delivered over-the-air. Don't panic if you're in one of the markets on the list, but Android 5.0 isn't yet available for your device - major updates like this tend to roll out in stages, and it may take a little while for LG to make Lollipop available to all eligible devices.
