Countdown to 2015 offers Xbox owners deep discounts on games

The Xbox One has experienced an excellent holiday season which saw the console overtake the Playstation 4 in sales. With all of the big discounts coming from Black Friday and Cyber Monday that came on top of the already-discounted holiday season pricing, Microsoft is offering new and existing customers the best gift of all to go with your new console: game discounts.

Starting today, Microsoft will offer a number of digital titles at various discounted prices on both its Xbox 360 and Xbox One consoles. The deals are exclusive to Xbox Live Gold members, much like the Xbox Games with Gold program which can offer free games and discounts to Gold subscribers, and span both mainstream and indie titles alike. The deals run through December 22.

For the Xbox One, some of the games that will see discounts through 12/22 include:

  • Call of Duty: Ghosts (50%)
  • Battlefield 4 Premium Edition (50%)
  • Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeroes (67%)
  • Thief (67%)
  • The Crew + Assassins Creed Unity (25% off bundle)
  • Killer Instinct Double Ultra Bundle (33%)
  • Evil Within (50%)
  • NBA Live 15 (35%)

For the Xbox 360 owners, you will see the highest number of deals. In addition to several of the titles Xbox One owners will have the opportunity to purchase at discounted prices, you'll also see deals on:

  • Dark Souls 2 (50%)
  • Titanfall: Game of the Year Edition (75%)
  • Tomb Raider (67%)
  • Bioshock Infinite (85%)
  • Dungeon Defenders (75%)
  • Select Resident Evil titles (20-75% depending on the game)
  • Halo Spartan Assault (66%)

In addition to these deals, each day will feature a new sale on a specific title. Those deals are only available one day, so make sure you're checking your Xbox dashboards to see what the deal of the day is. Kicking things off today are Shadow of Mordor and LEGO The Hobbit on Xbox One, as well as LEGO The Hobbit and LEGO Lord of the Rings for Xbox 360.
