Download Windows 10 build 10122 right now

Windows 10 build 10122 is now available to insiders subscribed to the Fast ring, so you might want to hit the ‘check for updates’ button.

Build 10122 is the first public build to have a version number above 10100, a sort of development milestone for Microsoft. That’s a significant jump from the previous version of 10074. But despite that, the new build doesn’t have any revolutionary or unexpected new features, as the company is focusing on bug fixing and stabilizing code, ahead of the full release later this summer. You can check out the full changelog here.

This build, despite some of its known issues, is also focused on bringing better hardware support on a broader range of devices. In other words, build 10122 should run noticeably better on devices like the Surface Pro 3 and Surface 3.

Unfortunately, the new build doesn’t come without its own set of bugs and issues. One that we were warned about beforehand is Edge’s tendency to crash on systems using AMD graphics, hence this build being available only to the Fast Ring for now. You can check out the full list of issues here.

Of course, this is still pre-release software, so you might want to stay away for a bit longer, especially if you’re considering installing this version on a production machine. In either case, we’ll have full coverage on the main page to make sure you don’t miss anything.
