Google and Star Wars partner up to bring enhanced experiences to Gmail, Google Maps, and more

As we draw closer to the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, we are starting to see more commercials, products and promotional tie-ins. Today, Google has announced their partnership with Disney/Star Wars to bring some interesting fun to its existing products.

Those curious can head over to Google's Star Wars portal, where they will be give the option of joining the light or dark side. According to Google:

Google apps will then transform to reflect the path they choose. Special experiences have been developed for Android Wear Watches, Google Calendar, Chrome, Chromecast, Gmail, Google Maps, Google Now, Waze, and YouTube with added features for fans to discover on their Inbox by Gmail, Google Translate, and Google Search.

As time progresses, more content will be undoubtedly unveiled. Google has also partnered with Verizon to unveil a new Cardboard VR experience on December 2nd. Star Wars: The Force Awakens arrives in theaters on December 18th.
