Halo Reach and ODST being considered for Xbox One port

Coming this November from 343 Industries is a re-mastering of the core Halo games (Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3, and Halo 4).  Officially known as "The Master Chief Collection," Halo will soon be available on the Xbox One.  Phil Spencer pushed the package hard at E3 and Gamescom 2014 in an effort to encourage greater sales of the newer console.  Now, Halo fans are making noise to bring over other Halo games to the Xbox One console, and it appears that those requests are being heard.

Dan Ayoub, executive producer at 343 Industries, had the following to say in a recent interview:

What I can tell you is probably the biggest question we get from people is, what about ODST and Reach?  What I can say is it's certainly not in our development timeline or planning right now [but] we've heard that question so much that it has seeped into our collective subconscious. I think enough people have asked about it that we are thinking about it.

As Dan's comment would suggest, there's nothing happening right this minute, but the fact that 343 execs are now seriously considering it shows there's a real chance that more past Halo projects will crossover to the Xbox One.  This news continues the trend of feedback gathering and response the Xbox team have been touting as a major priority for the entire team since Spencer took over as the head of the Xbox division earlier this year.

Halo Reach was Bungie's last Halo effort before officially handing off the series to Microsoft and 343 Industries.  Since that time, Microsoft have held ownership over the Halo franchise and all content related to it.
