Microsoft pushes out Surface Pro 3 firmware update, adds enterprise features

Microsoft has released an update today for the Surface Pro 3 that adds new features that are targeted at enterprise users. The update is available now and you can download the bits through Windows Update.

So what's in the new update? Microsoft has added support for enterprise disk encryption, enhanced the advanced configuration settings for device security, and added configurable support from the Windows OS for provisioning scenarios.

These new features will make the device more suitable for enterprise scenarios where security is the highest priority with devices that carry sensitive information.

We don't expect there to be any issues with this update, as it installed on our machine without any issue but let us know in the comments below if you run into any problems.
