Motorola's recently launched smartphone for Verizon, the Droid Turbo, will allegedly be released globally under the name Moto Maxx and the company has sent out invites for its launch event in Brazil.
Yesterday, Motorola launched Droid Turbo in the US exclusively for Verizon. However, now it seems the battery life beast is headed to more markets as the company's press invite shows the rear side of the smartphone for an event in Brazil.
Earlier in the year, a leaked roadmap of Motorola's products for 2014 revealed the name Moto Maxx and according to rumours, the global variant of Droid Turbo will be launched under that name; fittingly enough as it features a mammoth 3900 mAh battery.
Other hardware specifications of the Droid Turbo include a 5.2" Quad HD 2560x1440 AMOLED display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB or 64GB of storage, a 21MP rear camera with dual LED flash and a 2MP front-facing camera. These will probably remain unchanged with Maxx. However, connectivity wise, the device should be a global GSM smartphone with support for more 3G/4G LTE bands.
The Brazilian event is set for November 5th.
