Earlier this month, satellite radio service provider SiriusXM began sending out invites to some of its subscribers, encouraging them to take part in a beta test of its upcoming Windows 10 app.
Today, Microsoft announced that the SiriusXM app is now available for Windows 10 PCs and tablets... but not for phones.
The app includes Live Tile support, showing what you're currently listening to, and also features Cortana integration, allowing you to ask the digital assistant to play or fast forward.
The Windows Store description highlights some of the app's other key features:
- Stream SiriusXM channels live, including additional online-only channels.
- Custom mix many of your favorite music and comedy channels.
- Get On Demand access to our large catalog of content and listen on your schedule.
- Easily find channels, shows, and episodes with enhanced search capability.
- Receive personalized recommendations to help you find even more content you’ll love.
- Let your friends in on what you’re hearing or shout it to the world with new social features.
The Store description also invites users to "hear the best SiriusXM has to offer, anywhere life takes you" - but that may not be quite so easy for those who carry a Windows 10 Mobile phone in their everyday lives. There are no indications yet of any plans to bring the SiriusXM app to Windows 10 Mobile, but this could well change in the future.
SiriusXM wasn't the only popular brand to come to Windows 10 devices today - Roku has also launched a new app on the Windows Store, but as with SiriusXM, it's only available for PCs and tablets.
