Earlier this month, LG announced the V20, its new flagship-class smartphone, and the successor to the V10 it launched last year. Like the V10, the new device features a distinctive secondary display, positioned above the main screen on the front of the handset.
Today, LG announced that the V20 will go on sale later this week, starting in its home market of South Korea. It will launch in key markets across North America, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East "over the course of the next several weeks". The V20 is rumored to launch in the US on October 21, but it seems that LG has no plans to sell the V20 in the UK, or other European markets.
The new device will be the first to go on sale with Android 7.0 Nougat onboard. In previous years, Google's Nexus devices have been the first to launch with major new Android versions, but Google will officially unveil its new Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones next week, and they're expected to come with an even newer version of the OS, Android 7.1.
The V20's key specs include:

- 64GB storage (plus microSD card support up to 2TB)
- Rear cameras: 16MP with optical image stabilization, f/1.8 aperture and standard angle lens; plus 8MP with f/2.4 aperture and wide-angle lens
- Front camera: 5MP with f/1.9 aperture and wide angle lens
- Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac

- USB Type-C port
- Removable 3200mAh battery
