Although Apple is launching its new music service tomorrow, the company hasn't forgotten about its existing ones and will be increasing the song limit on iTunes Match to 100,000 when iOS 9 launches later this year.
Back in 2011, Apple launched iTunes Match, a service that allowed users to upload their own non-iTunes music collection to iCloud which could be accessed using any of their devices. Now, Apple VP Eddy Cue has revealed that Match users will be able to upload up to 100,000 songs up from the current limit of 25,000 when the next iOS update lands in fall.
The company's newest music service, Apple Music, will also feature iTunes Match-like capabilities with a 25,000 song limit at start which Cue revealed will also be increased along side the launch of iOS 9. This will be a welcome addition for users as it would be included in the $9.99 per month subscription of Apple Music.
Apple Music goes live tomorrow at 8 AM PT with Beats Radio following an hour later.
