Celkon Win 400 now available for just Rs.3,999, making it India's cheapest Windows Phone

Originally spotted in September, Celkon's first Windows Phone, the Win 400, went on sale in November. Priced at just Rs.4,999 INR (roughly $80 USD), the device immediately became India's most affordable Windows Phone - but it soon lost that title when domestic rival iBall introduced its Andi 4L Pulse handset, priced at just Rs.4,899 (just over $78).

But now, the Celkon Win 400 is India's lowest-priced Windows Phone once again, thanks to Snapdeal.com, which has slashed the price of the handset to just Rs.3,999 ($64). Key specs of the device include:

  • 4-inch LCD with WVGA (800x480px) resolution
  • Quad-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor
  • 512MB RAM
  • 4GB onboard storage (plus microSD support up to 32GB)
  • 5MP rear camera with LED flash
  • 1.3MP front-facing camera
  • FM radio
  • Dual-SIM support
  • 1500mAh battery
  • 125.4 x 65 x 10.3mm; 120g

...and for those that care about such things, the Win 400 also has hardware Back, Start and Search buttons on the front, rather than the on-screen 'soft buttons' that some manufacturers have adopted.

The handset is unlikely to win any awards for style or kick-ass performance - but that's still a pretty solid set of specs for such an affordable device.
