For the holidays, Google adds "donate" button to search results

Google is best known for its search engine but also has its fingers in a lot of other pies. But for the holiday season, the firm is leveraging its search engine by allowing users to donate directly to charitable organizations.

This option will be available starting today and only requires a simple search of the organization to have the new "donate" button appear in the search results. Once you initialize the donate button by clicking or tapping it, you'll be able to make your contribution. Also just like a standard search, you'll also be presented with important details about the organization like its address, phone number, and more.

Now, this isn't available for all organizations across the world and is currently for those in the United States that have opted in through the Google for Nonprofits program. Those that would like to be a part of this program can register by heading to the website.
