Moto X 'Pure Edition' announced for the US, will be sold unlocked for $399

After a few weeks of leaks, Motorola has officially announced its Moto X Style, Moto G and Moto X Play handsets for 2015/16. While some might find these devices impressive, Motorola is taking the release a step further by offering an unlocked variant of their Moto X Style, the Moto X 'Pure Edition' for $399.

The Moto X 'Pure Edition' will have the same specification as the Moto X Style, but will come unlocked and with a pure Android experience. The device features a 5.7" Quad HD display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor, 3GB of RAM, 3000 mAh battery, 21MP shooter on the back with a 5MP front-facing camera. Naturally, this unit will be available directly through Motorola and will be available to customize via Moto Maker. Motorola has not announced a concrete date for the handset, but is offering those interested an option to register to receive updates.

The Moto X 'Pure Edition' will be available in a 16GB, 32GB and 64GB configuration and will be available in the U.S. this fall for $399.
