HTC's U Ultra made its debut a few months ago and hasn't quite been the success the firm had hoped. The device offers a fairly large footprint, utilizes older specifications, and also costs quite a premium at $749. Last month, details emerged about its smaller sibling code-named 'Ocean', that would bring some unique features, along with a more robust set of specifications. Now, it appears that more details have been leaked, offering us better insight into HTC's upcoming device.
Android Headlines discusses the Edge Sensors, but a majority of the information comprises of things we have previously been aware of, like the ability to activate and scroll through applications utilizing the frame. Perhaps the more important piece of information is that the phone will offer an array of microphones that will allow the user to capture richer audio. It will purportedly sport an HDR+ mode for the camera as well, which will allow users to live preview images with HDR applied.
The handset will also arrive with Android 7.1 on launch and will feature Qualcomm's current Snapdragon 835 processor. As previously reported, the Ocean could arrive with 64GB or 128GB of storage, being paired with either 4GB or 6GB RAM respectively. Lastly, it is also detailed that the handset will offer a 3000mAh battery. Naturally, these details could always change, but so far, the Ocean is shaping up to be a fairly viable competitor.
