Leading up to its release this summer, Microsoft is feverishly working to complete Edge (previously called Project Spartan), the next-generation browser in Windows 10. In the latest Windows 10 build, 10120, Microsoft has started to refine the 'new tab' page.
As you can see in the image at the top of this post, the layout features a search/URL bar in the center of the page and below that is a list of top sites. Dig a bit deeper and you see trending news stories, local weather, and there is a never-ending list of additional stories too.
This page will likely be refined before the browser is marked as version 1.0 for the Windows 10 release this summer, but this layout does give you a good idea of what to expect.
This is not the only new feature that is in this release for Edge; History has been turned on and supports line item deletion and there are also new dev options as well in the context menu.
The last build Microsoft released to Insiders was 10074 during Build 2015, roughly three weeks ago.
